Employer Supported Scholarships
In 2024, five scholars and their employers are participating as Global Footprints Employer Teams, a pilot program for scholars and their employers to go through our scholarship program as a team.
Through this pilot, we hope to learn from employers how the scholarship can help not only their employee’s development, but also their business and their industry, and how we can best support our scholars and their employers to make the most of the opportunities for all.
Scholars benefit from the full support of their employer who also functions as their mentor in helping them to fulfill their scholarship opportunities as well as their work commitments.
Employers support their employee in setting goals for the scholarship that serve both their professional and personal development goals as well as those of the business. They work as a team to decide when the best time to travel might be, where the scholar will find the best learning opportunities and what skills and knowledge would help them get ahead in their career with their employer.
Employers participating in this program hope to offer their employee an opportunity to grow in their career in their business. They may also benefit from the global insights, knowledge and skills their employee brings back from their overseas placement.
We thank our participating scholars and employers for their time and support of this pilot:
