Make sure you are elgible to apply for a scholarship and that the program is right for you before you take the next step.

The application form collects some basic, personal information about your details, education and scholarship category.

More importantly, it is also your opportunity to shine.

Selection Criteria:

Scholars will be selected based on

• their commitment to sustainability and

• their passion for their profession.

To capture your thoughts on these two things, our application form will ask you the following five questions:

What have you done at work that you are proud of or passionate about?

3. A Global Footprints Scholarship is for you if you are passionate about creating a sustainable future.

Describe something you have done at work or are working on, that helps create a more sustainable world. Why is it important to you?

4. Every day across the globe, people make breakthroughs for a more sustainable future.

What have you seen or heard about that you find inspiring, and why?

5. As a Global Footprints Scholar you can choose to go anywhere in the world.

Where would you travel with your Scholarship and why?

How to answer:

We recommend you draft and edit your answers offline before copying and pasting them into the form. Take your time to prepare your answers.

You are free to respond to these questions in writing or record a video of yourself.

You will also have the opportunity to submit photos to support your application.

Word limits:

You are allowed up to 4,000 characters for each answer. We recommend you use the s ace available for your responses to truly shine - a quality response will have least 500 characters.

You can check your response length in MS Word or online here (add characters AND paragraphs together for total).

If writing is not your strength, you can also submit a video or a voice recording, or a combination of writing, video and audio to respond to the questions. It should, however, be no longer than 3 minutes in total.

Photos and videos:

We encourage you to include photos or videos.

The form allows you to insert links to videos and images (no files can be directly uploaded).

Before you move on to the next step, have the links to any videos or photos and/or your written answers ready.

To complete the application you need;

• The links to any videos or photos you want to include

• Your draft responses to the five selection questions

Note: Every applicant may submit ONE form only.

You will not be able to make changes once the form is submitted.

Now start the application form:

• Click the Apply Now buttonlink on the Global Footprints website. The link will direct you to a secure, external page with the application form.

• Read the introduction page and follow the prompts

• Complete the four pages of the form

• Read over your application a last time and check that everything is how you want it

• Click “next” to submit. Remember, you will not be able to make changes later.

• When you are done click ‘submit’ and you will receive a confirmation notice with information on the next steps.

If you are unsure about your category or any other part of the application form please contact us.

If your application was successful we will invite you to submit supporting documents and any further information we may need.

This will usually happen several weeks after you submitted your application.

Documentation may include;

• A copy of your birth certificate or passport to evidence your citizenship or residency status and age

• Your CV including up to date information on our education, training and employment

• A copy of your training records to evidence your qualifications and minimum skill level and/or qualification

• A letter of reference or a phone number from a suitable person (teacher, employer, etc.) to attest to your professional accomplishments and skill

• A portrait photo of yourself (head shot / passport photo)

• A photo and/or video showing you performing work in your chosen scholarship category

• A more detailed outline of what you plan to do during your scholarship

• A short video (up to 90 seconds) of you summarising your ideas and what the most important outcome of your scholarship would be

• You will also be able to include links to any other supporting documentation that you feel would support your application.

The Global Footprints expert panel assess all eligible, shortlisted applications to select the most inspiring ones with the greatest potential impact for both the candidate and their industry.

Applicants may be invited to an interview, which can be done either in person or online.

The purpose of the interview is to talk more with you about what a Global Footprints Scholarship might look like for you.

If you are among the top applicants for the year, you will receive a letter from us with your offer to accept the scholarship.

You will need to accept this offer and any conditions in writing.

The offer will include a detailed agreement between you and Global Footprints that outlines the obligations you and Global Footprints will commit to should you choose to become a scholar.

Once you have accepted the scholarship you will attend the awards ceremony where you will receive your award certificate and get to meet industry leaders, past scholars and the other successful applicants.
