The Global Footprints Scholarship is a unique opportunity to gain valuable international work experience. The mentoring and coaching, together with hands on learning, will me to grow in the electrical industry, and I hope to also gain leadership experience be able to give back to Global Footprints in the future.

A Global Footprints Scholarship is your opportunity to do more of what you love. What have you done at work that you are proud of or passionate about?

 I love what I am learning at work. I love that my bosses and teachers are supportive and encourage me to be hands on. I enjoy all the installation processes, especially installing a current transformer and learning how this device works. I am passionate about my work being neat and tidy e.g cables wires and I follow safe work practices.

A Global Footprints Scholarship is for you if you are passionate about creating a sustainable future. Describe something you have done at work or are working on, that helps the environment. Why is it important to you?  

Solar panels contribute to sustainability by providong clean energy, optimising energy efficient systems and supporting electric vehicle infrastructure. These efforts reduce carbon emissions, prompt renewable energy sources and advance eco friendly practices essential for a greener future.

As a BBM Scholar you can choose to go anywhere in the world. Where will you travel with your Scholarship and why?

I would like to travel to England to gain hands on work experience utilising the skills I have already learnt while gaining more knowledge. I am hoping that this experience will open up opportunities for me to work anywhere across the globe; opportunities that I may not have had access to before when I started my electrical industry journey.

Jayden and his employer Bright Spark Electrical are participating in the Global Footprints Employer Supported Stream, a new pilot program that works in partnership between the scholar, their employer and Global Footprints. As we go through the scholarship program together, we hope to learn from and with each other to maximise opportunities for the scholar, for the employer and their industry and to continue to deliver the greatest possible impact for young people growing a better, more sustainable world.
