Tony Bleasdale OAM

Tony Bleasdale OAM was an Australian politician. He served as a Labor councillor on Blacktown City Council from 1996 and Mayor of Blacktown until he passed away in May 2024. Tony was born in Liverpool in the UK and moved to Australia with the Big Brother Movement in 1963. He is being remembered as a passionate community builder, advocating tirelessly for the people from diverse backgrounds. His story is that of a former Little Brother whose journey to Australia not only improved his own life, but that of hundreds and thousands of people who benefited from his dedicated work.
